Keystone Academy
As a student teacher, I had the privilege of working with a wonderful organization, such as Keystone Academy. The children ranged from 6th grade through 8th. Something unique about this academy was that all the children were refuges from Burmese, a war zone country. These children have only been in the United States for about 3-4 years. The students' English proficiency was low when considering the average 6-8th grade students. Keystone Academy strengthens their minds and broadens their opportunities to grow as successful and respectful men. I loved the experience although, I was nervous at first.
